Diabetes – A Disease or Disorder? Medically Diabetes is defined as, “A Disease that occurs when the glucose in the blood goes too high” here; blood glucose can also be termed as blood sugar. Glucose in the blood is our source of energy and we get it from the food we consume. Well, to let this glucose get consumed as energy by the body, we need Insulin. Insulin is a hormone made by the pancreas which helps the glucose to get into cells to be used for energy.
